IIIT Delhi M.Tech Admissions 2012 with and without GATE Scores

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT New Delhi) has announced M.tech Admission Notification 2012 in the branches of Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The program is aimed at training students for the high end jobs in the corporate sectors. These are full time programmes in CSE and ECE.

Maximum of 10 seats in each specialization will be filled with high GATE score candidates and they will get a monthly stipend. Remaining seats will be filled based on the entrance examination to be held on 16th June 2012. IIIT – Delhi is offering M.Tech in the following areas of specialization:

1) CSE: Information Security, Data Engineering and Mobile Computing.
2) ECE: VLSI and Embedded Systems

Interested candidates can apply online only through IIIT New Delhi website at http://www.iiitd.ac.in/admission/mtech/2012 . Details of eligibility, nature of the question paper for entrance exam can be obtained from the website.

Important Dates:

1) Last date for online application: May 20, 2012
2) Last date for the receipt of fee DD and hard copy of the application: May 31, 2012
3) Written Test (At IIIT-Delhi campus): June 16, 2012.

IIT Madras M.Tech Admissions with or without GATE

IIT Madras has issued admission notification 2012-13 for M.Tech programme in the departments of Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Metallurgical Engineering, Ocean Engineering and Physics, Catalysis Technology, Nuclear Engineering and Petroleum Engineering and M.Tech in Clinical Engineering.

Qualifications: Applicants should have BE / B.Tech in Engineering / Technology / Architecture or its equivalent or Masters Degree in Chemistry / Mathematics / Physics / Life Science or related sciences or professional qualifications like AMIE. Completed details of qualifications available at mtechadm.iitm.ac.in. Candidates should have qualified in GATE 2011 or GATEW 2012. Candidates who have studied Bachelors Degree in IITs need not require GATE score. There are many other institutions offering M.Tech without GATE scores.

Interested candidates can submit applications online through above mentioned website. Application fee is Rs. 200 (Rs. 100 for SC, ST and PD candidates).
