JEE Main 2014 Notification Announced by CBSE for NIT Admissions

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced JEE Main 2014 Notification. The examination will be conducted by CBSE, New Delhi on 6th April 2014. The admission into BE / B.Tech programmes in NITs, IIITs, and several other premier engineering and technical institutions in the country will be through JEE Main ranks. Candidates have to apply online only through the JEE Main website at www.jeemain.nic.in .

Eligibility: Candidates those passed in their class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying
examination in 2012 or 2013 and also those going to appear for the 12th class exam in 2014 are eligible to apply. Candidates who have passed in exam in 2011 or before that are not eligible. The number of attempts are limited to 3.

Online Application Submissions:

Interested candidates can apply online only through JEE (Main) – 2014 website at www.jeemain.nic.in. Candidates have to upload the image in the proper manner along with signature. They should take a print out of the application and keep it along with them for future reference.

1. Date of Examination: JEE (Main)- Paper-1 (B.E./B. Tech.)
2. Offline examination: 06 April 2014
3. JEE (Main)- Paper-1 (B.E./B. Tech.) Online examination: 9,11,12,19 April, 2014
4. JEE (Main)- Paper-2 (B.Arch./B.Planning) -Offline examination: 06 April 2014

JEE Main Exam Pattern and Subject Wise Questions

Following is the exam pattern of JEE Main and JEE Advanced for the year 2014. The question paper wise exam structure is given below. JEE Main will consists of 90 questions with 4 marks for each question.

JEE Main Exam Pattern

Time : 3 Hours
No.of Questions: 90
Max. Marks: 360

Note: ¼ th Negative deduct

Each Question carries 4 Marks. 4 x 90 = 360 Marks
1 to 30 questions : Maths
31 to 60 questions : Physics
61 to 90 questions : Chemistry

JEE Advanced examination will have 60 questions with each question carrying 3 marks. Duration of JEE Main and Advanced exams is 3 hours.
