The institution is offering MA programme in Development studies and English. These are integrated programmes and duration of the courses is four years. About 40 seats are available in each course.

Interested candidates can apply online through the website www.iitm.ac.in from 17 December 2014 and last date for online registration is 26 January 2015.

Indian Institute of Technology – Madras (IITM) has issued notification for HSEE – 2014 (Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination) for admission into various PG courses in the disciplines for Social Sciences and Humanities subjects for the academic year 2014-15.

Courses: Integrated MA (Development Studies, English). Number of seats: 46
Duration of the course is five years. Applicants should have Intermediate / 10+2. Selection will be based on the merit in online entrance examination.

Application fee is Rs. 1600. Interested candidates can apply online through IIT Madras website at http://hsee.iitm.ac.in . Last date for the submission of online applications is 17 January 2014.

Entrance exam will be held on 20 April 2014. Results will be declared on 14 May 2014.
