IIT Rajasthan Ph.D Admissions 2012-2013

IIT Rajasthan has announced notification for admission to Ph.D. in various schools of excellence for the academic year 2012-13. The institute has several Centers of Excellence (CoEs) with good infrastructure, qualified faculty and research facilities. The IITR is inviting applications for research in the Centers of Energy, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Systems Science (SS). Candidates with B.Tech + GATE will get a fellowships of Rs. 16000 per month for the first two years and Rs. 18000 per month for the remaining three years. Candidates with M.Tech will get Rs. 18000 and Rs. 20000 respectively. Following are details of eligibility, selection and application procedure:

IIT Rajasthan is offering Ph.D in regular and full time category, part-time or sponsored category. Candidates have to apply online only. For July 2012 admission session, the online link will be open till April 23, 2012. The summary sheet and final submitted application along with Demand Draft and GATE score card should be sent to the prescribed address so as to reach on or before April 26, 2012.

Candidates from different stream need different qualifications. Written test/ interview will be held on 24 May 2012. IIT Hyderabad M.Tech Admissions 2012-13

Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad is inviting applications for admission to M.Tech for the academic year 2012-13. Admission will be based on GATE scores and there are some seats under sponsored category. All the candidates must have qualified in GATE 2012. IIT Hyderabad offer scholarships to students in science, technology and liberal arts and encourage candidates to take up careers in research. M.Tech programme is offered in the specializations of Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Another premier institute in AP, IIIT Hyderabad also announced PGEE 2012 for admission to M.Tech without GATE score.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must have valid GATE score. The institute may also conduct an interview and or written test. IIT Graduates will be admitted without GATE score. There are two year and three year M.Tech programmes along with Sponsored M.Tech. IIT Hyderabad will provide financial assistantship at the rate of Rs. 8000 per month for a maximum period of 24 months. This will be awarded to all M.Tech candidates from India. Applicants should be Graduate Degree holders in Engineering, Technology, Architecture or Masters Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Life Sciences. Those studying their final year courses are also eligible to apply. Apart from IITs, there are several institutions which are offering M.Tech courses with or without GATE score as well.

IIT Graduates can download application forms from the website. Application fee is Rs. 200 for general and OBC candidates and Rs. 100 for Sc, ST and PD candidates.
