IIST Thiruvananthapuram B.Tech and Dual Degree Admissions 2017-18

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) has issued notification for admission into various academic programmes for the academic year 2017-18. Following are details of programmes, eligibility and application procedure:

Prorammes:

1) 4 year B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering: 60 seats
2) 4 year B.Tech in Avionics: 60 seats
3) 5 Year dual degree (B.Tech and MS / M.Tech): 20 seats

Disciplines: Aerospace Engineering, Avionics, Astronomy and Astrophysics, Chemistry, Earth System Sciences, Humanities, Mathematics, Physics and Remote Sensing.

5 year dual degree leads to B.Tech in Engineering Physics and any one of the programmes of MS Solid State Physics / Astronomy and Astrophysics / Earth System Science / M.Tech in Optical Engineering.

IIST admissions will be through JEE Advanced 2017 All India Ranks. Registrations at IIST web portal starts from 22nd May 2017 and 12th June 2017. For more information, see www.iist.ac.in .

IIST Thiruvananthapuram M.Tech Admissions 2012

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram has announced M.Tech Admission Notification 2012 in various areas of specialization relevant to ISRO programmes. Admissions to following M.Tech. programmes are presently open only for young scientists and engineers nominated by various centers and units of ISRO or Department of Space, Govt. of India. Following are details of specializations:

1) M.Tech. in Soft computing and Machine Learning
2) M.Tech. in Chemical Systems
3) M.Tech. in RF and Microwave Communications
4) M.Tech. in Applied and Adaptive Optics

Admissions are open for July 2012 session. Nominations from centers and units of ISRO or DoS should be sent to The Dean (Academic), IIST, Valiamala P.O., Thiruvananthapuram – 695 547 by 31st May 2012. Class work will begin in July 2012.
