Bombay Stock Exchange Training Institute (BSE Training Institute) in association with IGNOU is offering Post Graduate Diploma in Stock Markets (PGDSM) for the year 2011-12. PGDSM is targeted at preparing candidates for an attractive career in the field of stock markets. This is a comprehensive course launched jointly by BSE and IGNOU. The program has been designed to impart quality traiing, knowledge and industry relevant skills to selected candidates. The qualification of PGDSM will be an added advantage for working professionals. Candidates will be trained in general management subjects also along with stock merkets.
Eligibility: The PGDSM is meant for Graduates. The programme will be offered in distance mode. The programme is best suited for executives working in the stock market and those seeking a sector specific education qualification and skills. Candidates with professional qualifications such as MBA, Engineering, M.Com, CA, CS, ICWA, Law etc also can apply. The programme is useful for those like to learn fundamentals about the stock markets as an investment option.
The duration of the program is one year. It comprises of 2 semesters. 1st Semester will cover topics such as Management Functions and Behavior, Quantitative Analysis for Managerial Application, Economic and Social Environment, Capital Markets and Economics for the Financial Markets. The 2nd semester will include topics such as Corporate Finance, Fundamental and Technical Analysis, Forex Markets, Derivatives, Debt markets, as well as International Stock Markets Dynamics. Successful candidates will receive Post Graduate Diploma in Stock Markets jointly from BSE Institute Limited and IGNOU.
