APPSC is gearing up to conduct Group 2 main exams soon. In this recruitment examination, three papers will be given with three different subjects. Paper 1 is meant for General Studies and Mental Ability. Here we are giving details of Paper 1 online mock exams.
Syllabus of Group 2 Paper 1 – Main Exam:
- Events of national and international importance.
- Current affairs- international, national and regional.
Both of these sections test the current affairs and general knowledge understanding of the candidates. - General Science and its applications to the day to day life Contemporary developments in Science & Technology and Information Technology: In this section, questions are mostly related to day to day application of science to human life and activities.
- Social- economic and political history of modern India: This section mostly focuses on the events and issues of Indian national movement.
- Indian polity and governance: This section involves related constitutional issues, public policy, reforms in governance and egovernance initiatives.
- Geography of India with focus on Andhra Pradesh. Apart from Indian geography, the questions also will be asked from Andhra Pradesh geography.
- Disaster management: This is another important part in APPSC exams. About 5-8 questions will be given from this section. The syllabus includes vulnerability profile, prevention and mitigation strategies, Application of Remote Sensing and GIS in the assessment of Disaster.
- Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection: Important environmental issues and conclaves and sessions have to be studied for this section.
- Logical reasoning, analytical ability and logical interpretation. The questions in this section will be of 10th class standard. Thorough practice is required for this section.
- Data Analysis: This section includes simple mathematical problems such as tabulation of data, visual representation of data, basic data analysis (Summary Statistics such as mean, median, mode and variance) and Interpretation.
- Bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh: The bifurcation of state of Andhra Pradesh and its Administrative, Economic, Social, Cultural, Political and legal implications / problems have to be studied thoroughly for this section.
Mock Tests:
Here we provide Group 2 Paper 1 Mock tests for the practice of the candidates appearing for the exam. Questions are framed considering the weightage given to various topics in previous examinations.
Free mock tests also will be available for the practice of the candidates. Candidates have to keep in mind that the Mental Ability section plays important role in scoring good marks in this section.
