ICIT Pune Diploma and Certificate Courses 2012

Institute of Integrated Circuit and Information Technology (ICIT), Pune has announced notification for admission into following courses through Common Entrance Test. ICIT is an associated institute of University of Pune, Maharashtra. Following are details of courses and application procedure.

1) Certificate Course in Embedded System Design
2) Certificate Course in Advanced Computing
3) Diploma in Advanced Digital Systems Design

CET fee of Rs. 500 should be paid by Cash in ICIT office or should be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of ICIT Pvt. Ltd., Pune and the same should be sent along with completed application form. Filled in application forms should be sent along with attested copies of certificates, mark lists, cast certificate and DD to ICIT Pvt. Ltd., Department of Electronic Science, University of Pune, Ganeshkhind Road, Pune 411 007. Common Entrance Test (CET) will be held at the following centres: Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Indore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Kolhapur, Mumbai, Nagpur and Nasik. 1) Date for Online CET is on 28th and 29th July, 2012 and 25th and 26th August, 2012
2) Offline CET is on 29th July, 2012 and 26th August, 2012 at 11:00 am in Pune
3) Last date for the submission of application is on 25th July, 2012 and 22nd August, 2012
4) Result of both the CETs will declared on August 4 and August 31, 2012 through email

RCI Diploma in Special Education Admissions 2012-13

Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), New Delhi has announced notification for All India Online Aptitude Test for Admission to Diploma Courses in Special Education. RCI is a statutory body under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India. The RCI is and empowered body to monitor training programmes in the field of Rehabilitation and Special Education. The organisation is conducting following programmes for the academic year 2012-13 for which admission process is under progress:

1. Diploma in Education – Special Education (Deaf and Hard of Hearing)
2. Diploma in Education – Special Education (Mental Retardation)
3. Diploma in Education – Special Education (Visual Impairment)

The RCI will conduct an All India Online Aptitude Test for short listing the candidates. Applied candidates can avail the facility of Mock / Sample Online Test of 30 minutes duration before the commencement of examination. It is observed that the demand for trained special teachers has increased in the recent times considerably after the judgment by the Hon’ble Delhi High Court for appointment of special teachers in each school of NCT of Delhi.

The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the regulatory body has also granted approval to B.Ed. Special Education and D.Ed. Special Education qualifications to be eligible for the appointment of elementary teachers in general schools. States like NCT of Delhi, Rajasthan, etc. have already started recruiting special teachers and other states may follow the same in near future. This will certainly increase the job opportunities for these candidates.
