IIITDM Jabalpur M.Tech, M.Des and Ph.D Admissions 2011 – 2012

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Jabalpur has announced notification for admission into M.Tech, M.Des and Ph.D. programmes for the year 2011-2012. The programmes are offered in Regular, Sponsored and External modes. Interested candidates can download application forms from the IIITDM website at www.iiitdmj.ac.in . Following are details of programmes, eligibility and application procedure:

1) M Tech (Regular and Sponsored): Programmes are available in the branches of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Mechatronics and M.Design. Qualification: Applicants should have B Tech/ BE in any engineering discipline / M Sc in Mathematics, Statistics or its relevant discipline. Candidates with MCA also can apply. Applicants should have valid GATE scores in Computer Science and Engineering/ Mathematics/ Information Technology/ Engineering Sciences etc. For complete details of eligibility requirements, see official website at http://www.iiitdmj.ac.in .

2) M Des (Regular and sponsored): Applicants should have B.Tech / B.E./ B.Arch. / B.Des./ BFA/ M.Sc./ M.A./ MCA with minimum qualifying marks and valid CEED score for regular stream students.

3) Ph.D (Regular, Sponsored and External): Candidates should have M.Tech / ME in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) / Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) / Mechanical Engineering (ME) / Design (DS).

Application procedure: Interested candidates can download application forms from Institute’s website at www.iiitdmj.ac.in from 7th October 2011. Completed application forms along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 200/- for General and OBC and Rs.100/- for SC/ST category candidates drawn in favor of ‘The Registrar, PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur should be sent to the prescribed address on or before 8th November 2011. CEED 2012 Notification by IIT Bombay

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT B) has issued notification for Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED – 2012) for admission into design courses for the academic year 2012-13. All the leading IITs and IISc Bangalore offer design programmes. The main objective of CEED Entrance Examination is to assess the candidate’s aptitude for design, drawing skills, logical reasoning, visual skills, creativity and communication skills. CEED is an all India level examination for admission into the following Post Graduate programmes in design:

1) Master of Design Programmes (M.Des.)

a) IISc Bangalore: M.Des. in Product Design and Engineering
b) IIT Bombay: M.Des. in the specializations of Industrial Design, Visual Communication, Animation, Interaction Design, Mobility and Vehicle Design.
c) IIT Kanpur: M.Des. in Industrial Design
d) IIT Delhi: M.Des. in Industrial Design
e) IIT Guwahati: M.Des. in Design

IITs and IISc consider GATE scores also for admission into these programmes. Following are some more programmes offered by these institutes through CEED:

1) Ph.D Programmes in Design (Offered at IISc Bangalore and IIT Bombay); Eligibility: Applicants must have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design/ Interior Design or equivalent. Candidates with Professional Diploma in Design (NID / CEPT or equivalent of 4 years duration after 10+2 also can apply. Candidates with B.F.A. (4 year professional programme offered after 10+2) OR G.D. Art (5 year programme after 10th) with at least one year professional experience and Master’s degree in Arts / Science / Computer Applications are also eligible to apply. There is no age limit for CEED. A candidate can appear any number of times.

Last date to apply online is 7th October 2011. Last date for the receipt of application print outs with required documents is 14th October 2011.
