Design Aptitude Test for admission into NID Courses 2018-19

National Institute of Design (NID) has issued admission notification for the academic year 2018-19. The NID is offering courses in master of design, bachelor of design and GDPD. The institute has campuses at Ahmedabad, Vijayawada, Bengaluru, Gandhinagar and Kurukshetra.

Master of Design (M.Des): Duration is 2.5 years. The course is offered at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Gandhinagar campuses.

Bachelor of Design (B.Des): Duration is 4 years. The course is offered at Ahmedabad campus.

GDPD (Graduate Diploma in Design): Duration is 4 years and avalable at Vijayawada and Kurukshetra campuses.

For details of eligibility criteria and other information regarding admission process, log on to admissions.nid.edu. Last date for the submission of applications is 31 December 2017. Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims will be held on 7th January 2018.

Bachelor of Design Course Seats and Fee Structure in IITs, IIIT Delhi and IIITDM

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay conducts Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED). Admission into Bachelor of Design (B.Des) courses in IITs at Bombay, Guwahati and IIITDM Jabalpur will be through UCEED ranks and counseling.

Candidates who have completed Intermediate / 10+2 or in the final year of the course may also apply for UCEED. Admission into B. Tech in Computer Science and Design (CSD) programme at the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT Delhi) also will be conducted through UCEED ranks. Fee Structure for B.Design Courses (2017-18:

1) IIT Bombay: Rs. 122876 per semester (includes all one time fee and tuition fee per semester)

2) IIT Guwahati: Rs. 126545 (including mess charges, all one time fees)

3) IIIT Delhi: Rs. 117500 (excluding causion deposit Rs. 10000 and Rs. 15000 for campus maintenance)
