Delhi University B.Com, BA and B.Sc Admissions 2012-13

The admission process for the colleges affiliated to Delhi University (DU – New Delhi) has been started on 4th June 2012. The sale of applications for all the courses available in more than 70 Graduate Colleges under the purview Delhi University has commenced. The Courses available in these colleges are B.Com, BA and B.Sc with various conventional and advanced specializations. The website of the Delhi University is at www.du.ac.in. B.Com course is in more demand in the University.

Getting a seat in Delhi University is very tough as the colleges require higher cut offs at the 10+2 level. Most of the colleges put the cut offs at 95 – 100 percent. There was a huge controversy in 2011-12 admissions time as some colleges decided the cut off at 100 percent.

The Commerce, Arts and Science colleges of Delhi University offer excellent education and known for quality infrastructure and experience faculty. Famous colleges of the DU are LSR College of Commerce (popular as Lady Sri Ram College), Venkateswara College, St. Stephens College etc.

University of Delhi M.Sc Entrance Test 2012-2013

Faculty of Science of University of Delhi, Delhi has announced M.Sc. Entrance Test Notice 2012 – 2013 for admission to M.Sc programmes in Anthropology, Botany, Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Zoology and MA / M.Sc .in Environmental Studies. 50 percent of the seats (except in Environmental Studies) will be filled on the basis of marks in the respective B.Sc. Hons Courses Examination from University of Delhi. But they also should apply in response to this notification. Remaining 50 percent seats will be filled through M.Sc. Entrance Test 2012.

1. M.Sc. Anthropology Entrance Date: 14-06-2012
2. M.Sc. Botany Entrance: 15-06-2012
3. M.A / M.Sc. in Environmental Studies Entrance : 16-06-2012 (All seats will be filled through Entrance only)
4. M.Sc. Physics Entrance Date: 17-06-2012
5. M.Sc. Chemistry Entrance Date: 18-06-2012
6. M.Sc Geology Entrance Date: 19-06-2012
7. M.Sc. Zoology Entrance Date: 20-06-2012.

Application forms can be obtained from the Office of the Faculty of Science, Unit-I, Pota Cabin, Near Department of Zoology, University of Delhi, Delhi – 110007. Cost of application is Rs. 150. You can also obtain forms by post through sending a DD for Rs. 150 for each course in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi and payable at SBI Service Branch, New Delhi (Code no.7687). A self addressed envelope with stamps worth Rs. 30 should be attached to the request and send to Faculty of Science, Unit-I, Pota Cabin, Near Department of Zoology, University of Delhi, Delhi – 110007 . DD should be drawn in any branch of SBI. Last date for the receipt of completed forms is 31st May 2012. More details can be obtained from www.du.ac.in.
