CUCET 2013 for PG Admissions in Central Universities

The Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET 2013) notification has been announced for admission into various Post Graduate courses for the academic year 2013-14. The Central Universities located at Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Punjab, Orissa, Kerala, Jammu, Kashmir, Gujarat and Bihar will conduct PG admissions based on ranks in CUCET 2013.

The entrance exam CUCET 2013 will be held on 19th May 2013. This is an online examination. There will be offline examination on 16th June 2013. Applicants should have Graduation in the concerned discipline.

Selection will be through entrance test and interview. Application process will start from 15th March 2013 and last date for online registrations is 25th April 2013.

CUCET 2013 for UG and Integrated courses: 18-19 May 2013
CUCET 2013 for Post Graduate courses: 15-16 June 2013
CUCET 2013 for Research Programmes: 14th July 2013

CUCET 2012 Notification for PG and M.Phil in Central Universities

Admission notification for 7 Central Universities has been announced for the academic year 2012-13. The Universities will conduct CUCET 2012 (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) for admission to MA, M.Sc and M.Phil programmes in the following universities: Central University of Kerala, Central University of Bihar, Central University of Karnataka, Central University of Jharkhand, Central University of Kashmir, Central University of Rajasthan, and Central University of Tamilnadu. Following are details of courses and application process:

1. U.G. Programme – BBA (Duration: 3 years): 30 seats

2. Integrated M.A. Programmes: Economics / Geography / English / Mass Communication/ Psychology / Business Administration / Indigenous Culture. Duration is 5 years.

3. Integrated M.Sc. Programmes: Applied Physics / Mathematics / Physics / Life Sciences / Economics / Applied Mathematics/ Chemistry / Applied Chemistry. Duration: 5 years.

4. Integrated M.Tech. in Nano Technology. Duration is 5 years.
5. Integrated Law Programme: B.A. LLB. Duration is 5 years.

6. M.A.: Classical Tamil / English / English and Comparative literature / Counseling Psychology / Hindi / Economics / Culture and Media Studies / Development Studies / Convergent Journalism / Communications and Media Studies / M.S.W. (Social Work). Duration: 2 years

7. M.Sc.: Computer Science / Statistics/ Mathematics / Statistics (Actuarial) / Plant Science/ Biotechnology/ Environmental Science / Psychology/ Geospatial Applications in Regional Development / Financial Economics/ General Economics / Physics/ Biochemistry and Molecular Biology / Plant Science/ Information Technology / Bioinformatics/ M.Sc. Tech. (Mathematics) / Chemistry / Genomic Science/ Animal Science. Duration is 2 years.

8. M.Arch Programme (Duration: 2 years)
9. MBA Programme (Duration: 2 years)
10. 2 years M.Tech. Programme: Computer Science and Engineering
11. One Year M.Phil Programmes: Physics/ Comparative Literature / Economics/ Taxonomy/ Genomics/ Biochemistry.

Important Dates:

1. Last date for receipt of online applications: 17th May 2012.
2. Dates of CUCET 2012-13: Offline Exam on 3rd June and Online Exams on 9-10 June 2012.
