CDRI Lucknow Ph.D Admissions 2013

Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow, an institute of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is inviting applications for admission to Ph.D. programmes for the academic session 2013. Candidates with M.Sc and M.Pharm degree can apply for full time Ph.D programmes in the relevant areas of research.

Eligibility: M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Chemical Sciences / Pharmaceutical Sciences and those qualified in CSIR – UGC – NET, ICMR, DBT examination for JRF. They shall apply for the academic session commencing from January 2013.

GPAT qualified candidates those pursuing second year, 3rd semester M.S (Pharm) or M.Pharm in Pharmacology / Pharmaceutics / Pharmaceutical Technology / Pharmaco – Toxicology disciplines are also eligible.

Short listed candidates will be called for written test / interviews / counseling at CDRI, Lucknow. Interested candidates can apply online through CDRI website at www.cdriindia.org . Filled in application forms along with relevant copies of certificates and other enclosures should be sent to Scientist-in-Charge, Academic Affair Unit, Central Drug Research Institute (CSIR), Chattar Manzil, Lucknow – 226 001. Last date for the receipt of completed applications is 8th October 2012.

Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI – CSIR), Lucknow is inviting applications for admission to Ph.D. Programmes in various disciplines for July 2011 session. CDRI is premier research institute functioning under the aegis of CSIR. The institute is conducting top class research in life sciences, chemical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences and Biotechnology. Following are details of doctoral courses and eligibility requirements along with application procedure:

Eligibility: Applicants should have M.Sc or its equivalent in Life sciences/ Biotechnology/ Chemical Sciences / Pharmaceutical sciences. They should have qualified in any of CSIR- UGC- NET, ICMR, DBT examination for Junior Research Fellowship. Those appearing in final year exams of qualifying degree in 2011 and cleared above exams for JRF may also apply.

Application process: Candidates have to fill up the online application form available on the institute’s website www.cdriindia.org. The form will be available till 18th May 2011. Print outs of filled in form should be sent along with photograph, photocopies of certificates of date of birth, qualifications and proof for qualifying JRF to ‘Scientist-in-Charge, Academy Affairs Unit, Central Drug Research Institute (CSIR), Chattar Manzil, Lucknow-226 001’. Last date for receipt of forms is 25th May, 2011.

Selection will be based on the interview / counseling at CDRI, Lucknow on 27 and 28 June, 2011. The number of seats will depend on the vacancies available with scientists at CDRI.
