CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 Exams to begin in February 2019

Here is a good news for the students appearing for CBSE Board Exams for Class X and Class XII in the year 2019. CBSE has taken a decision to advance the examinations for both Class X and XII and the exams will begin in February 2019. The Board will release the date sheets / schedules in the first week of October 2018.

CBSE Exams

For Vocational Courses:

CBSE has also clarified that the exams for skill education (vocational courses) and related subjects will be conducted in the second half of February from next year onwards. The annual examinations for the core academic subjects such as languages, mathematics, and science subjects will continue to be held in March 2019.

The decision to advance the exams has been taken considering Delhi High Court judgement to take results of revaluation also for admissions into Delhi University colleges.

Other Subjects:

Subjects such as Typography and Computer Applications (English), Web applications, Graphics, Office Communication, etc. will also be included in February exams as these subjects have a larger practical component, and shorter theory papers.

Variety of Combinations:

CBSE, unlike many other boards in the country allows vast combinations of subjects / groups at plus two level. This is the reason for the extended date sheets of CBSE exams. Many students find it difficult to get admission in good colleges due to delay in announcement of results by CBSE. Advancement of board exams may solve the problem to some extent.
