British Council – IELTS Scholarships 2014

British Council and IELTS have jointly announced Scholarship Award 2014. The reputed language testing organizations are offering eight scholarships of worth Rs.3,00,000 each for all countries including United Kingdom, Australia, USA and Canada.

Only thing the candidates have to do is they need to take IELTS with the British Council. To register for IELTS, log on to www.britishcouncil.in/exam/ielts/scholarships.

Closing date for registrations is 30th June 2014. The IELTS score is accepted by over 9000 organizations across the globe. IELTS is jointly owned by British Council, IDP – Australia and Cambridge English Language Assessment.

IELTS is an important eligibility requirement for studying higher education in Abroad, particularly in European Countries. Candidates with good IELTS score can claim admission in reputed Universities and technical institutions in Europe and America.

UK – British Council Jubilee Scholarships 2012

British Council and the United Kingdom Government are announced Jubilee Scholarships 2012 for Indian students. These scholarships for young Indians to study Masters Programmes in Management, Manufacturing, Science and Technology. The scholarships will be awarded for students enrolled in a recognized UK institution for the above programmes and followed by a short term internship programmes in the UK. Total number of Jubilee Scholarships will be 60.

Jubilee Scholarships have been started from 2012 only as part of Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the GREAT campaign designed by UK. The campaign is to focus on the areas of British excellence including its high quality education facilities. The scholarship programme is aimed at offering support and greater access to Higher Education in the UK. Selected candidates will receive funding for a one year Masters program in the UK, starting September 2012.

Eligibility: Applicants should be Indian citizens and they should be graduates with excellent academic record. Each scholarship award will cover University tuition fee, living for the duration of the scholarship (maximum of 12 months), one month internship in the UK, Return airfare and also UK visa.
