Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune has issued notification for admission to various Under Graduate, Post Graduate and professional courses (B.Tech., M.Tech., M.Sc., MBBS, BDS, M.Ch. etc.) in Medicine, Dental, Science and Management disciplines. The institute shall conduct All India Entrance Tests for admission to all the courses for the year 2011-12. Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi shall conduct All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) 2011. This entrance examination is for the purpose of filling up of 15 percent merit seats in Medical / Dental Colleges of India. The state of Jammu and Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh are not part of this exam. Medical and Dental colleges of all other states shall keep 15 percent seats for AIPMT 2011 candidates. The AIPMT consist of Preliminary and Main Examinations to be conducted on different dates. Following are other details.

Eligibility Requirements: Candidates with Higher / Senior Secondary Examination OR Indian School Certificate Examination / 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology along with English as a core course are eligible. You should have secured at least 50 percent marks in the qualifying examination. Age must be above 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year. Upper age relaxations applicable as per rules of the government.

You can apply either online or offline. Interested candidates can apply online through www.aipmt.nic.in. You can also download application/ information bulletin from the official website of AIPMT www.aipmt.nic.in. You need to pay the fee Rs. 700 (Rs. 350 for SC/ ST candidates) before proceeding to apply online. Offline applications are available at designated branches of Canara Bank across the country. Filled in forms / confirmation page should reach ‘The Deputy Secretary (AIPMT Unit), Central Board of Secondary Education, Shiksha Kendra, 2, Community Centre, Preet Vihar, Delhi 110 301’ on or before 7th January 2011.
