GITAM University GAT – Engineering Fee Structure, Counseling and Programmes

Gitam University is a reputed private university in the country with campuses at Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad. The University has more than three decades of teaching and research experience in the field of engineering, management and sciences. Gitam university offer more than hundred programs at UG, PG and Doctoral levels in the disciplines of Technology, Pharmacy, Science, Management, International Business and Architecture. Gitam University conducts GITAM Admission Test (GAT), which is a computer based online test for selecting the candidates for admission to UG and PG Technology Programs in both campuses of the university.

Eligibility for B.Tech Programmes: Applicants should have passed in 10+2 or 12th examination with minimum 60 percent marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and 1st Class in single attempt. For B.Tech. in Biotechnology, candidates should have secured minimum 60 percent marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or Biology, Physics and Chemistry in single attempt. Candidate’s rank in GAT (UGT) 2012 will be considered for shortlisting the eligible candidates. For B.Arch. program, candidates should qualify NATA exam.

Application Procedure: Candidates can apply in the following methods. You can apply online or applications are available at designated branches of Union Bank of India and Indian Bank. List of bank branches available on the website. Application forms can be obtained from the Director, Admissions also by sending a request for the same on plain paper giving the candidate’s name with complete mailing address along with a DD for Rs. 1,100/- (Rs. 700/- for female candidates) drawn in favour of GITAM University payable at Visakhapatnam. Completed applications should reach Director-Admissions, GITAM University, Gandhi Nagar Campus, Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam – 530 045, Andhra Pradesh, India on or before 14th March 2012 (For the academic year 2012-13.

2) B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering: Rs. 2,25,500 per year

4) B.Tech + M.Tech (Mechanical): Rs. 1,70,500 per year
5) B.Arch.: Rs. 1,76,000 per year

Gitam GAT Results and Counseling:

Gitam GAT results will be displayed on the official website of the university at www.gitam.edu. The eligible rank holders qualified in GAT are required to attend Online Counseling along with Call Letter by downloading from university website. Online counseling will be held at Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Tirupati. For admission to M.Tech, counseling will be held at Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam centers only. Gitam University offer various merit scholarships for eligible candidates. All these details can be obtained from the university website.

Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning Admissions 2012-13

Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL), Prasanthi Nilayam is inviting applications for admission to various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Professional programmes for 2012-13. SSSIHL is a Deemed to be University and recognised by UGC. Limited number of seats are available for direct admissions at the Postgraduate level. All other PG programmes are integrated programmes where candidates graduating in relevant undergraduate programmes will automatically qualify for Masters programmes. The Deemed University has three premier and state of the art campuses at Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh), Brindavan (Bangalore, Karnataka), and Prasanthi Nilayam (Andhra Pradesh). 2) Post Graduate Programmes: Duration is 2 years. The subjects offered are M.A. English Language and Literature, MA Telugu Language and Literature, M.Sc. Food Science and Nutrition, M.Sc. in Food Technology.
3) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.): Duration is one year.

Programmes for Men:

1) 1) Under Graduate Programmes: Duration is 3 years. Programmes offered are BA (Hons.) in Economics, B.Sc. (Hons.) in Economics, B,Com (Hons.), BBM, BCA, B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry / Biosciences leading to PG Degree in the concerned subject.
2) Post Graduate Programmes: Duration is 2 years. Subjects offered are MA Economics and M.Sc. Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.
3) Professional Courses: MBA, MBA (Finance), M.Tech Computer Science, M.Tech Applied Optics.

Selection to all the programmes will be based on entrance examination to be conducted on 3rd and 4th weeks of April 2012. The academic session will commence from 1st June 2012.
