IIM Ahmedabad introduces Baahubali Movie as Case Study in Management

The Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad (IIMA) has introduced Baahubali movie as case study for its students. The case study is part of the studies in art, business and technology. The Baahubali case study has been authored by IIMA alumnus and visiting faculty Bharathan Kandaswamy.

Elective Course:

Baahubali is a part of an elective course on movie business. This is offered to the second year students of IIM Ahmedabad through its management programme.

Baahubali movie is considered as perfect blend of art, business, and technology in a brilliant manner. Many a times, big movies miss some element or the other of these three. The good combine of marketing, technology and story made Baahubali successful

Focus of Two Parts of Baahubali:

The case study will focus on “Baahubali – The Beginning” and also its sequel, “Baahubali – The Conclusion”. It will try to disclose the success mantra of the film. Both the movies collected a massive over Rs. 1000 crore and directed SS Rajamouli.

Kandaswamy, part of Kavithalayaa Productions is the brain behind the elective course ‘Contemporary Film Industry-Business Perspective, launched by IIM Ahmedabad in 2008-09. The course has previous included case studies on Roja and Muthu films.
