UPSC conducted Engineering Services Examination (ESE) is known as one of the most difficult competitive examinations in the country. The question papers in all the branches (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics and Telecommunications) are considered as highly standard and tests basic engineering skill sets of the candidates. Though various national level exams are being conducted in purely objective type, ESE exam structure still emphasizes on conventional type question papers along with objective questions. UPSC Engineering Services Exam Structure and Vacancies

Indian Engineering Services (IES) is considered as the most respected career option available for B.Tech or BE Graduates in India. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) recruits candidates for IES through an all India level combined competitive examination popular as Engineering Services Examination (ESE). The recruitment will be carried as per vacancies requirement which UPSC receives from various departments of Govt. of India. Recruitment will be done in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering branches. Important eligibility for UPSC ESE is B.Tech in respective branches / allied branches and equivalent qualifications.
