Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation, Mumbai is inviting applications for the grant of Inlaks Scholarships for the year 2011. This is a good opportunity for students with exceptional talent in any discipline to improve their skills. The scholarships are awarded for tow types of courses. These are university courses and specific programs. Scholarships will be awarded for up to 2 years at top American, European and UK institutions to pursue all kind of subjects, except Engineering, Computer Science, Urban Planning, Business Studies, Medicine, Public Health, Indian Studies and Indian History, Fashion Design and Music. In the case of Ph.D. programmes with collaborating institutions inlaks scholarship may be extended upto 4 years. Candidates must have secured admission before applying to the scholarships. Candidates also propose specific programmes for scholarships.
Eligibility Requirements: All Indian students with good degree from a recognised university can apply. All applicants must have completed their first degree in India only. It is highly essential to have confirmed admission to the institution and course chosen by the candidate. The institute must be a reputed one. Age should be below 30 years on the first of July 2011.
Candidates who secured other grants, teaching assistantships and support from other sources for the proposed programme will be regarded by the Foundation as a positive factor. The Foundation also encourages currently employed people to apply. Selection Procedure: Selection will be purely based on talent, merit and exceptionally worthiness of the candidates. All your achievements, academic and extra curricular will be considered.
Application and Selection Procedure: Candidates can obtain application forms from 10th of January to the 15th of April from the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation, C/o Inlaks India Foundation, 86/87 Atlanta, Nariman Point, Mumbai- 400021. Applications must be completed by the candidate and have to be submitted on or before 15th of April 2011.
Short listed candidates will be called for interviews at Delhi or Mumbai and candidates who do not receive any communication in this regard by 1st of June 2011 must assume that their applications have not been successful.
