GPAT 2012 Notification, Application and Results Info

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced notification for Graduate Pharmacy aptitude Test (GPAT 2012) for admission to Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharmacy) and Doctoral programmes in Pharmacy offered in Govt. and Private colleges across the country. GPAT 2012 will be held on 6th May 2012 and the results of the GPAT 2012 will be declared on 31st May 2012. Candidates can avail the results of GPAT 2012 from www.gpat.in OR msubaroda.ac.in. GPAT syllabus has been changed recently and candidates can obtain the latest syllabus from the above mentioned websites. Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodra is organising the GPAT 2012. Here are details of qualifications, question paper pattern and application procedure:

Qualifications: Applicants should have Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharmacy of 4 years duration after 10+2). Candidates who are appearing for final year of B.Pharmacy course are also eligible for GPAT 2012. Candidates admitted into pharmacy courses through GPAT score will get MHRD and other government scholarships and also eligible for research or teaching assistantships offered by universities and colleges. GPAT qualified candidates are also eligible for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in CSIR Laboratories and they can work in sponsored projects. The GPAT 2012 examination consists of a single question paper with 100 Multiple Choice Questions. Duration of the exam is 3 hours.

Interested candidates can apply online only through GPAT 2012 website at www.gpat.in OR through www.msubaroda.ac.in. Application fee is Rs. 1000 for General and OBC categories and Rs. 500 for SC/ ST/ PD categories. GPAT score is valid for only one year. Wrong answers will be given a negative mark of 1/3. The examination tests candidate’s knowledge and aptitude in Pharmacy.

2. Online Application website closes on: 20st February 2012
3. Last date for receipt of print out of online application along with necessary enclosures: 27th February 2012
4. GPAT 2012 Examination: 6th May 2012
5. GPAT 2012 Results: 31st May 2012.

B.Pharm Lateral Entry Entrance Examination – Kerala 2011

Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala has announced notification for admission to B. Pharm Course through Lateral Entry scheme for the year 2011-12. Admission to B.Pharm course in Government and private self financing colleges in Kerala will be conducted through this examination. The seat allotment will be done by Director of Medical Education (DME) based on the ranks secured in the Entrance Examination conducted by CEE. Following are details of eligibility and application procedure:

Qualification: Applicants should have Diploma in Pharmacy with minimum 55 percent marks. They should have passed in the diploma examination conducted by the State Board of D Pharm Examinations or its equivalent. SC / ST Candidates need minimum pass marks in the second year D Pharm examination. There is no upper age limit.

Selection of candidates for BPharm (Lateral Entry) course 2011-12 will be made on the basis of an Entrance Examination to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, (CEE) at Thiruvananthapuram on 11the December 2011. The examination will consist of only one paper with a duration of two hours. The question paper will have 100 objective type multiple choice questions.

Interested candidates can obtain application forms from www.cee-kerala.org. There are separate application forms for general candidates and SC/ST candidates. Completed application forms along with a Demand Draft for Rs.300/- for General candidates and Rs. 150/- for SC/ST candidates drawn in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram and other relevant documents should be sent to ‘Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 001’.
