TS Police Jobs: Warning to SI, Constable candidates – Preliminary written test Pattern

Board Chairman VV Srinivasa Rao said that they are ready to conduct a preliminary written test on August 7 for the post of Sub-Inspector and other similar posts in Telangana. “We are arranging for a written test on August 21 for constable and other similar posts,” a statement said.

Constable‌ – Preliminary:

  1. Constable‌ Preliminary examination will be conducted with 200 questions for 200 marks over a period of three hours.
    2, questions will be asked from a total of eight sections. They are..English, Arithmetic, General‌Science, History of India – Culture – Indian National Movement, Theories of Geography – Geography of India – Politics – Economy; Contemporary issues of national and international importance, Reasoning / Mental Ability, Telangana State of Priority.
  2. Of these, other sections except English are given the facility to answer in Telugu or Urdu.

SI Prelims in two sections:

  1. Preliminary written test for Sub-Inspector posts will be conducted for 200 marks in two sections.
  2. 100 questions from Arithmetic and Test of Reasoning / Mental Ability topics.
  3. Ask another 100 questions from General Studies.
  4. The test will be conducted in pen-paper format for a total of three hours.
  5. Must have passed with at least 30% marks for both the posts. Similarly, 20 per cent negative marks were imposed.
  6. Candidates who have passed will be selected for the next stage Physical Efficiency Test based on the marks obtained and the number of applications.
  7. The difficulty of the questions in the Intermediate Qualified Constable Prelims as well as the Bachelor Degree Qualifying Sub-Inspector Prelims examinations will be commensurate with the level of the respective posts.

Common elements:

  1. There are common elements in the prelims exam related to the two posts. General Science, Current Affairs, History, Geography, Politics, Economy are in both posts.
