IICPT Thanjavur B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D. Food Processing Technology Admissions

Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology (IICPT), Tanjavur, Tamil Nadu is inviting applications for admission into B.Tech, M.Tech. and Ph.D. Programmes in Food Processing Technology. All the programmes are full time residential in nature. IICPT offer world class teaching, laboratory and research facilities. The institute is functioning under the aegis of Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Govt. of India. Following are details of courses, eligibility, number of seats and application procedure:

1) B.Tech (Food Process Engineering): Duration is four years. Eligibility: Applicants should have passed in +2 or equivalent examination with major subjects Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with minimum 50 percent marks. Selection will be based on merit in the qualifying examination. Number of seats: 40

2) M.Tech (Food Process Engineering): Duration is 2 years. Eligibility: Applicants should have passed a four year B. E. / B. Tech degree with minimum 60 percent marks in the disciplines of Food Process Engineering / Agricultural Process Engineering / Post Harvest Technology / Food Technology. Selection will be through merit basis and ranking order in the qualifying examination only. Number of seats: 10.

3) Ph.D. (Food Process Engineering): Eligibility: Candidates should have passed in M. E. / M. Tech with at least 60 percent marks in any of the disciplines like Food Process Engineering / Agricultural Process Engineering / Post Harvest Technology /Food Technology. Selection is based on merit in qualifying examination. Number of seats: 5.

Interested candidates can obtain applications from IICPT office during all working days. Application fee is Rs.500/- for OC/OBC, Rs. 250 for SC/ST candidates.
