JEE Main Session 1 Results Released

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2022 Session-1 results have been declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) today on their official website. These examinations have been conducted from June 23 to 29. The registration for session 2 is ongoing and the exams are scheduled to be conducted from July 21 to July 30, 2022.

Below are the instructions for checking the results:

1. Visit the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in.

2. Click on the link ‘Download Score Card of JEE (Main) Session 1_Paper 1’ under Candidate Activity.

3. Enter your credentials such as Application Number, Date of Birth and Security Pin and click ‘Submit’.

4. The results will be displayed. Candidates can download the mark   sheets and save them for future references.

5. Students can also visit other websites to check their results – nta.ac.in, ntaresults.nic.in.

Marking Scheme for JEE Mains 2022 Session 1:

Students will score 4 marks for every correct answer and negative 1 mark for every wrong answer. In case of a tie, a tie-breaking procedure will be followed to allot ranks. Students need to get qualifying marks to apply for the JEE Advanced. SC/ST/PWD category candidate need to score minimum of 65 percent and general category students need to get 75 percent to qualify for JEE Advanced, 2022.

About 8.69 lakhs students have appeared for JEE Main January 2020 session. Out of these 9 candidates have secured more than 300 marks with 100 percentile. The question paper was perceived as medium to difficult by many students. Following are details of ranks, percentiles and cut offs of JEE Main 2020 (January Session) for various categories.

The percentile system has been introduced from 2019. The next JEE Main exams (Second session) will be in April 2020. It was decided to conduct JEE exams twice in an year by National Testing Agency (NTA).
