IGIDR Young Scholars Programme

Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), Mumbai invites applications for Young Scholars’ Programme. This programme will be conducted during November every year. IGIDR was established by Reserve Bank of India to carry out advanced research on economic, development and financial issues. Selection of the candidates will be based on the merits of CV and a brief note on candidate’s motivation. Total number of candidates to be selected is 30 – 40 from all disciplines.

Eligibility: Young scholars in the disciplines of Humanities and Social Sciences are eligible to apply for IGIDR Scholars Programme. Applicants should have interest and aptitude for Human Development research and teaching.

Education Qualifications: Candidates with Master’s Degree ( M.A., M.Sc. or M.Phil.) can apply. Recently appointed lecturers are also eligible to apply. The Hindu–Hitachi Scholarships for B.E. and B.Sc.

In association with Hitachi Ltd., THE HINDU newspaper group invites applications for award of scholarships. The selected candidates will be trained in Japan. The number of scholarships: 3 (Three only). Candidates should be not have completed 30 years of age. Candidates should possess minimum Degree of B.E.,/ B.Tech or B.Sc.
