British Council- Education UK Exhibitions 2012 at Bangalore, Chennai, Pune and Hyderabad

Are you planning to study in the United Kingdom? Here is an excellent opportunity. The British Council is organising Education UK Exhibitions in Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Pune from 4th February 2012 to 8th February 2012. Aspiring candidates and their parents will have an opportunity to directly meet representatives of the UK universities and institutions. Main focus in the UK education exhibition will be on Management, M.Sc., Engineering, Biotechnology and other professional courses. Candidates can get information on various undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses. There is no entry fee. Candidates have to register online for the exhibition at http://www.educationuk.org OR www.educationuk-in.org .There will be awareness seminars delivered by UK academics on different topics such as student visas, studying in UK for engineering or business degree. You can also find information on British Council’s English courses and IELTS (International English Language Testing System) examination.

CIET-NCERT Photography Video Contest for Students and Teachers

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi has announced notification for all India Photography Contest for students and teachers for 2011. Central Institute of Educational Technology of NCERT will conduct the contest for various age groups and classes. The contest is open to all the students including candidates of formal, non formal, private and government schools for all the States in India and union territories of the country. This is an excellent opportunity for the students in the age group of 12-18 years and teachers to showcase their talent in Photography. Following are details of themes of the contest and registration process:

1) Theme – Moods: For 12-14 years
2) Theme – We and our elderly people: For 12-14 years
3) Theme – Nature’s gifts: For 15-18 years
4) Theme – Friendship: 15-18 years

For Teachers, the contest is open to all school teachers working in all government schools and also non government schools from all over India. There will be Digital Photography / Video Contest also for teachers. Following are themes for this contest: Depiction of an idea, representation of a subject content, An act of inspiration and An innovation relevant for school children. Themes for Video Contest are : A real story related to a content area of school education, composed of images, words and inspiring ideas that stimulates every one to learn more.

NCERT is also conducting Poster Contest for teachers. Themes of poster contest are, right to free and compulsory education, duties of appropriate government and local authority and parents and responsibilities of schools and teachers.
