LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarships 2011 for Engineering, Medicine, ITI and Vocational Courses

Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India has announced all India level scholarship scheme ‘LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarships 2011’ to offer financial assistance to the poor students and make them as ‘LIC Scholar’. The LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation (LIC GJF) Scholarships are offered to Intermediate OR 10+2 passed students to pursue their higher education in various disciplines. The main purpose of the LIC Scholarship scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students from economically weaker sections of the society. The scholarship will be awarded for pursuing higher education in a government or recognised private college/ university. The scholarship scheme will also cover Technical and Vocational courses offered at Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Industrial Training Centers affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) at Graduation level. Following are details of eligibility, number of scholarships and application procedure:

Eligibility and Qualification: Candidates should have passed in 10+2 / Intermediates in the year 2010-11 with at least 60 percent marks. The applicants should have interest in pursuing higher education in any one of the the disciplines such as Engineering, Medicine, Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Diploma Courses in any field or any vocational course after 10 +2 education. Applicant’s parental annual income should be less than Rs. 60000. Candidates have to provide self declaration on a non judicial stamp paper for this purpose along with submission of land details issued by Tahasildar / MRO of the revenue department. Duration of the scholarship shall be for the entire course for which candidate is admitted. Amount of scholarship is Rs. 10000 per year which will be distributed for ten months at Rs. 1000 per month. Total scholarships at each LIC division level are 20. LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation will select 10 boys and 10 girls at each LIC Division level for the award of these scholarships.

Candidates studying ITI and other vocational courses need at least 60 percent marks in 10th class/ SSC. Parental annual income should be same as described above. LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation (GJF) shall screen the applicants on the basis of annual parental income particulars in ascending order. Candidates have to fulfill various academic requirements like attendance and pass percentages to continue under the scheme till the end of the course. DOEACC Centre Calicut MCA and PG Diploma Admissions 2011-12

DOEACC Centre, Calicut (Kerala) is inviting applications for admission to MCA and other diploma programmes for the year 2011-12. 8) Advanced Diploma in Information Security Administration and Audit: Duration is 3 Months; Program starts from 17th October 2011.

9) Advanced Diploma in Wireless and Mobile Security: Duration is 3 Months; Course will commence from 17th October 2011.
