IFMR Chennai PGDM Admissions 2012-14

Institute for Financial Management and Research, Chennai (Tamilnadu) has announced admission notification for 2012-14 batch of Full Time PGDM Programs. All the programs are approved by AICTE. IFMR is a premier institute for training and research in Management with special focus on Finance specialization. The IFMR is ranked in top 10 finance schools in the country and also among top 30 B-Schools in India by various independent survey organizations. 1) PGDM Regular: management program with specialization in Finance, Marketing, IT and Operations and HR.
2) PGDM – DSF: Management Program with emphasis on Development and Finance
3) PGDM – FE: Management course with emphasis on Quantitative Finance

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should have Graduation in any discipline with good academic record. Those appearing for final year exams also can apply. Candidates should hae qualified in any one of the national level entrance exams like CAT 2011, XAT 2012, GMAT (taken after August 2009) or GRE scores. IFMR is offering good placements in companies such as Accenture, Bank of America, CapGemini, CTS, FINO, Genpact, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys, ITC, L and T Finance, Nomura, SBI Caps, TCS, UBS etc.

SASTRA University Ph.D. Admissions 2012

SASTRA University (Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy), Thanjavur, Tamilnadu has announced notification for admission to Ph.D. Programmes in the disciplines of Engineering, Technology, Arts and Sciences, Management, Education and Law. There are three types of registrations available for the candidates. These are Full time internal, Part time internal and Part time external registrations. Selected candidates will get a stipend of Rs. 10000 to Rs. 14000 per month provided they do not receive CSIR or GATE fellowships. Following are details of the programme for the year 2012-13.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should have minimum 55 percent marks in the qualifying degree. Candidates should have Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy / Arts / Science / Management / Computer Applications. Candidates with Chartered Accountancy (CA) and a minimum of two years of work experience also can apply. Applicants with Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60 percent marks with an industrial sponsorship also will be considered for direct Ph.D. programme.

Sastra University is offering Ph.D. courses in the Schools of Chemical and Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Computing, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management and Social Sciences. Selection of the candidates will be based on performance in the written examination and interviews to be conducted at the campus on 28th January 2012.

Registrations for Ph.D. programme will be done quarterly, on the first week of January, April, July and October every year . B.Tech candidates can also register for Direct Ph.D. programmes.
