TISS Integrated BA in Social Sciences Admissions 2012-13

The TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences) has launched a new coures in Social Sciences. The TISS announced B.A. programme in Social Sciences from the academic year 2012 – 2013. This is a three year UG liberal arts programme with focus on humanistic aspects of Social Sciences integrated with Science. After the completion of this programme, candidates can continue in MA in a range of disciplinary and Interdisciplinary areas of Social Sciences (2015-17). Hence this is a 5 year Integrated Course.

Candidates will have an option to Graduate with BA from TISS and move away for Masters OR they can join in Masters Programme in the same campus of TISS. Applicants should have completed 10+2 and those awaiting for second year results also can apply. The programmes is offered at TISS Hyderabad, TISS Guwahati and TISS Tuljapur campuses.

Candidates those obtained Bachelors from TISS need not appear for Masters Entrance Test and they can directly join in Masters Programme from 2015-16. Interested candidates can download application forms from the website www.BA-socialsciences.tiss.edu . Last date for the submission of completed applications along with relevant copies of certificates in 30th June 2012. There will be an online entrance examination on 15th July 2012. SASTRA University B.Tech Admissions 2012 for AIEEE Rankers

Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy (Sastra University), Thanjavur, Tamilnadu has issued admission notification for AIEEE 2012 qualified candidates for admission to B.Tech Programme. The specializations available are Bioengineering, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Instrumentation Engineering (EIE), ICT, IT, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and 5 year Integrated M.Tech. for the academic year 2012-13.

Admission Procedure: Admission to the above mentioned programmes will be based on the AIEEE 2012 all India Ranks (AIR) only. Interested candidates should apply online according to their branch priority. The list of selected candidates will be displayed on the website www.sastra.edu on June 30, 2012. The admitted candidates should report to SASTRA University in person on July 8, 2012 and complete all admission formalities. Sliding also will be there on 8th July 2012.

Candidates should note that 70 percent of admissions to the B.Tech. and 5-Year integrated M.Tech. programmes will be based on +2 marks and the remaining 30 percent seats will be through the AIEEE 2012 scores / ranks.
