Thiruvalluvar Univerisity, Serkkadu (Vellore, Tamil Nadu) has rolled out notification for admission into Post Graduate Programmes for the academic year 2011-2012. Admission to Post Graduate (PG) programmes at Arts and Science College (PG Extension Centre) at Kallakurichi in Villupuram District also will be conducted through this notification. The sale of applications forms for the PG admissions at above institutions already started from 27th June 2011. Following are details of programs and application procedure:

Post Graduate Programs at Thiruvalluvar University:

1. M.A. Tamil / English / Economics
2. M.Sc. Zoology / Chemistry / Mathematics / Biotechnology

PG Programs at Villupuram PG Extension Centre:

1. M.Com
2. M.Sc. Mathematics/ Chemistry

Filled in forms should be sent to ‘The Registrar, Thiruvalluvar University, Serkkadu, Vellore- 632 106’ along with a DD for Rs. 200 (Rs. 100 for S/ ST candidates) drawn in favour of ‘The Registrar, Thiruvalluvar University, payable at Vellore. Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has announced notification for admission into 6th Batch of Post Graduate Programme for Executives (PGPEX) for the year 2011-12. The programme is opened to working executives. This is a one year full time residential Diploma Program targeted at executives with potential for top level managerial positions. The PGPEX program will focus on imparting communication, team building and leadership skills apart from international study tours and project in India.

Eligibility: Applicants should be executives with Graduate degree in any discipline. They should have at least 5 years of post qualification managerial / professional experience. Candidates also require a valid GMAT score, taken within last 36 months of application date. Proficiency in English is necessary.

Selection of the candidates will be based on Academic Background, work experience as professional, GMAT score, Personal interview, statement of purpose and recommendation letters from two senior persons from academics or managerial persons of companies.
