University of Madras International M.Sc. Programs Admissions 2011-2012

Department of Geography, University of Madras in partnership with Staffordshire University and University of Northampton from UK (United Kingdom) is offering International M.Sc. Programs related to the disciplines of Development Studies and Environmental Management. The courses are offered under the UKIERI Supported International Programmes. Both are International Post Graduate Programs with world class quality of faculty and infrastructure. All the institutes have reputation and recognition in their own fields and jointly offering these programs:

1. M.Sc., Sustainable Development for Urban Environments: This is offered in February 2012 in partnership with Staffordshire University, United Kingdom.

2. M.Sc., International Environmental Management: The course is offered from September 2012 in association with University of Northampton, United Kingdom. This is a joint online program.

BIT Mesra Integrated M.Sc. Admissions 2011-12

Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra is inviting applications for admission into Integrated M.Sc in the disciplines of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics and Computing. These courses are intended for students who passed Intermediate / 12th Class in a recognised school / college. BIT, Mesra is a deemed university accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) an also National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Following are details of Integrated Post Graduate Programs offered by BIT Mesra, Ranchi (Bihar):

1. Integrated M.Sc. in Chemistry; Eligibility: Applicants age must be below 21 years as on 1st October 2011. Candidates should have passed in Class 12 or its equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology subjects. They should have secured at least 60 percent marks.

2. Integrated M.Sc. in Physics: Applicants should have pass in Class 12 / +2 / Intermediate with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics with at least 60 percent marks in average of 4 subjects. Age should be below 21 years as on 1st October 2011.

3. Integrated M.Sc. in Mathematics and Computing: The maximum age limit is 21 years as on 1st October 2011. Candidates should have passed in 10+2 / Intermediate/ Class 12 with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics subjects securing minimum 60 percent marks in average.

There are 20 seats in each course. Selection of the candidates will be based on the performance in qualifying examinations. Age relaxations apply for reserved candidates.
