Pharmaceutical chemistry is definitely having a bright future. Almost in every pharma company and leading bio research institutes there is a regular need for such professionals. If you are pursuing the M.Pharma course in India it is always better you go for GATE or other pharmacy specific exams and secure a seat in any of the NIPERS. Drug design through insilico (using computational models) approach is highly potential area where pharma students can take lead along with traditional pharmacy. Due to resistance problem many parasites/ pathogens are not responding to available drugs, hence development of new drug is a continuous phenomenon.

After completion of M Pharm that too from BHU certainly many companies will offer jobs with good package. If you are academically sound and interested in teaching, many Govt. and private colleges are offering teaching positions. But to be become a professor you need to have Ph. D. Places like Central Universities also offer good opportunities. These are very stable and lucrative opportunities for Pharma students. For M. Pharma freshers, companies like Biocon, Natco, and Panacea Biotech are offering jobs with good pay package.

In Hyderabad NIPER (Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers Govt. of India) providing an opportunity to go through two years job oriented program that is innovative and hands on session will be in IICT Hyderabad where they can work in the real time research environment which is a rare opportunity to the Pharma students. After completion of NIPER course, many students are getting good placements.
