XLRI – XAT 2012 Test Pattern, Programmes and Results

XLRI (Xavier Labour Relations Institute) Admission Test, also popular as XAT 2012 has bee announced by XLRI, Jamshepur. XLRI is a premier B-School in the country and highly reputed for its training, practical approach and placements. XLRI conducts national level entrance examination, Xavier’s Admission Test (XAT 2012) for short listing the candidates for admission into various Management Programmes for the academic year 2012-13. XLRI conductes Group Discussion, Essay and Personal Interview (GDPI) for screening the candidates. Apart from XLRI, there are about 70 Management Colleges / B-Schools those accept XAT scores for admissions. Following are details of eligibility, nature of the test, XAT 2012 Results, previous papers and application procedure for XAT 2012:

XAT 2012 Eligibility: Applicants should have Bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education. Those appearing their final year exams of Graduation also can apply. To register for XAT 2012, interested candidates have to fill the XAT 2012 Application Form available online at www.xlri.net.in / www.xlri.ac.in. Candidates can obtain all the details after logging into the site. XLRI follow its own selection criteria and XAT cut offs for various programmes. 1) Personnel Management and Industrial Relations (PM and IR)
2) General Management Programme (GMP)
3) Business Management (BM)
4) Executive Fellow Programme in Management (Exec-FPM)

7) Certificate in Entrepreneurship Management (PGP-CEM)

Exam Pattern: The XAT Examination is highly standardized. There will be three sections in XAT 2012 . These are 1) Data Interpretation and Quantitative Ability, 2) Analytical Reasoning and Decision Making and 3) Verbal and Logical Ability. Each question will have five choices. Total time allotted for the entrance exam is 120 minutes. After the objective test is completed, there will be an essay test for 20 minutes.
