Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur has announced notification for admission into full time / part time Ph.D and M.Tech programme in various disciplines for the January, 2013 session. The selection process will consist of written test and interview to be held on 17th and 18th December, 2012.
1. Ph.D programmes are offered by the department of Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, Metallurgical and Materials, Applied Mechanics, Mining , Architecture) and Applied Sciences (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Humanities).
Qualification : M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch. / M.Sc. Candidates must have qualified in NET / GATE exam.
Duration of programme : 3 years for full time and 4 years for part time.
2. M. Tech programmes (Research) are offered in the all Engineering Departments and M. Arch. ( Research) – Architecture.
Qualification : B.E / B. Tech / AMIE in relevant disciplines with minimum first class marks.
Duration of programme : 2 years and 6 months.
Application procedure : The completed application form in the prescribed format (available on website www.vnit.ac.in) along with photocopies of certificates / mark sheets should be send to Dy. Registrar (Academic), VNIT, South Ambazari Road, Nagpur – 440 010 along with fee DD for Rs. 500 payable at Nagpur drawn in favour of The Director, VNIT, Nagpur. Last date for the submission of filled in application form is 6th December, 2012.
