IIT JEE Advanced 2013-14 Dates and Exam Structure

Joint Admission Board (JAB) of IIT Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2013 has announced the dates for JEE Advanced 2013. The JAB has met on August 27, 2012 at IIT Delhi to discuss the admission procedure for the coming academic year 2013-14. The admission to the undergraduate programmes (B.Tech / B.E) at the IITs and ISMU, Dhanbad for the year 2013-14 will be based on a new two-tier test. Following are details of dates and scheduled of JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2013-14:

1) The first test of the new pattern examination is called the JEE (Main). It will be held during the month of April, 2013 (both offline and online). This examination will be conducted by CBSE.

2) The second test, JEE (Advanced) will be held on June 2, 2013. This will be in offline mode. only. Only 1,50,000 of the top rankers in JEE (Main) will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. The top rankers include students from all categories such as General, OBC(NCL), SC and ST.

Here is the question paper pattern of the JEE (Advanced) – 2013. This will have two objective type papers. Each question paper will consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Duration of each question paper will be 3 hours. Question papers will be given in both English and Hindi.

Admissions to all IITs (Bombay, Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Guwahati, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Indore, Kharagpur, Madras, Patna, Roorkee, Mandi, Rajasthan, Ropar, IT – BHU Varanasi and ISM Dhanbad) will be based only on category wise All India Rank (AIR) in JEE (Advanced).
