Eligibility for WASE Program 2012: Applicants should have B.Sc. (Computers/ IT/ Maths/ Physics/ Statistics) BCA/ BCM in full time mode. You should have secured at least 50 percent marks in 10th class, 12th class (10+2 / Intermediate) and 60 percent in Graduation. You must have studied Mathematics at 12th / Intermediate level. Graduates of 2010, 2011 and those appearing for final year graduation exams in 2012 are only eligible for Wipro – Bits Pilani WASE 2012 program.
Course Details: WASE Sponsored M.S. is a 48 month course and is divided into 8 semesters. BITS conduct contact classes for 16 weeks with 4 sessions over the weekend, 2 hours per session. During the week time, Wipro offers working on live projects in various business domains.
Selected candidates will get monthly stipend as per the details below:
1. First three months of the COurse: Rs. 7,500/-
2. From 4th to 12th months: Rs. 10,000/-
3. Second academic year: Rs. 12,500/-
4. Third academic year: Rs. 18,000/-
5. Fourth academic year: Rs. 23,000/-
Selection process: The selection process consists of three stages. These are 1. An Online common entrance examination 2. A Technical Interview 3. An HR Interview.
Online test will be conducted completely online (internet based). The Question Paper will have three sections. These are Verbal, Analytical and Mathematics. The standard of the exam will be on par with CAT and GMAT.

Wipro’s WASE Programme was started in 1995 and it is an Earn while you Learn Programme intended to create job opportunities in IT and Software fields for Non- Engineering students. I am pursuing polytechnic diploma in Computer Science stream and now I am in 6th(final) semester. On 28th January 2011 there is open campus organized by Wipro for Diploma Holders, thus I apply for that and got selected in it. There recommendation are as follows :
1. My work duration with Wipro is of five and a half years.
2. I got stipend as similar as arranged for the WASEians.
3. They are providing integrated MS degree from BITS Pilani.
4. And I found that all the terms and condition are same as WASEians but the diffrence is WASEians are graduate and I am a Diploma Holder.
As I am a fresher and Hardly know about this field kindly advice me and provide your opinions on this.
Is this suitable for me ? or I have to go with B.E. after diploma ?
What is the importance or value of M.S. from BITS in modern IT industries ?
If I go with Wipro . Is my carrier is on correct path ?

There is no need of Graduation as the Integrated MS program includes Graduation as well. If they are offering the training / earn while learn mode of program, it is always better to opt for it. Best part of the program is learning experience at Wipro and a Degree from BITS at the same time. So, lets hope there will be no need of second thoughts on this offer!

As mentioned on the official website, the online entrance exam will be on par with CAT and GMAT. Hence, you can get any standard book or study material that will be useful for CAT and GMAT. Check for any relevant books from Mc Graw Hill and Printice Hall India publications.

There may not be a specific number of seats and the number depends upon the company requirements. Regarding useful books for Wipro Wase, successful candidates are requested to post their experience with regard to preparation and interview. That will help other aspirants a lot. Actually if you’ve 50% in 10th and you’ve 50% in +2, and above 60% (not 59.99%) then you are applacable for WASE.
