IISWBM Kolkata MBA and MHRM Admissions 2012-2014

Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM), Kolkata has announced admission notification 2012-2014 for MBA and MHRM Master Degree Courses. IISWBM is ranked as a top rung B-School in the country by various private surveys. The classes for the new batch will commence from July 2012. The institute has good reputation and known for quality of faculty and infrastructure. Following are details of programmes, eligibility and application procedure:

1) MBA: Duration is two years: Eligibility: Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3 system) with Honours in Arts / Science / Commerce / Business Administration or Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+4 system) in Engineering / Technology / Medical Science / Law/ Professional Courses /or its equivalent.

2) MHRM (Calcutta University): Two years: Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should have Honours Degree or its equivalent in any discipline / Graduate in any professional course (Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine etc.), LLB (5 years) of any recognised university. Those studying the final year also can apply.

Selection of the candidates will be through CAT 2011 conducted by IIMs. IISWBM uses CAT scores for short listing the candidates and final admission will be based on the performance in GD, Interviews etc.

Interested candidates can download application forms from the website www.iiswbm.edu. Application fee is Rs. 1300. This should be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of IISWBM and payable at Kolkata. Eligible candidates will be offered education loan by IDBI Bank and Canara Bank. Last date for the receipt of completed applications is 9th December 2011.

SRFTI-Satyajit Ray Film Institute PG in Cinema Admissions 2011-12

Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata is inviting applications for admission to full time course of three years duration leading to a Post -Graduate Diploma in Cinema. Specializations offered are Direction and Screenplay, Cinematography, Audiography and Editing. The courses are offered for the session 2011-2012 to 2013-2014. Following are details of courses, specializations and application procedure:

Course Structure: First year of the course will be an Integrated Course of 42 weeks duration. This is common for all students. Specialization Programmes will be offered in 2nd and 3rd year with a total of 84 weeks duration. Course will be conducted through classroom lectures, practical / structured exercises, film screenings, interactions with professionals and workshops. Specializations offered in the program are

1. Direction and Screenplay
2. Cinematography
3. Audiography
4. Editing

Maximum 40 students per batch will be selected per each specialisation. SRFTI will conduct an All India Level Entrance Examination for short listing the candidates. Admission test will be conducted at Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Guwahati, Patna, Lucknow, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Ernakulam, Hyderabad, Raipur, Srinagar, Bangalore and Dehradun.
