RGIPT-Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, Ph.D Admissions 2011-12

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh is inviting applications for admission into B.Tech. M.Tech., MBA and Ph.D. Courses for the academic year 2011-2012. RGIPT is functioning under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Govt. of India. The courses and specialisations in the institute are promoted by PSU oil major companies such as ONGC, IOCL, OIL, GAIL, BPCL and HPCL. Following are details of programs and application procedure:

1. B.Tech.: Duration is 4-year B.Tech.
Petroleum Engineering – 40 seats
Chemical Engineering – 35 seats
Last date for online submission of applications is 6th July 2011
Eligibility: Admission will be through IIT JEE–2011 ranks including the extended merit list. Applicants should have 60 percent marks in aggregate in class 12th or its equivalent.

2. M.Tech. in Petroleum Engineering: 10 Seats
Last date for the online submission of applications: 8th June 2011
Eligibility: Applicants should have a 4-year B.Tech/ B.E. in Petroleum Engineering / Petro- Chemical Engineering / Production Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering. Admission will be based on valid GATE score along with written test and interview.

3. M.B.A. in Petroleum and Energy Management : 50 seats
Last date for online application submission: 10th June 2011
Eligibility: Applicants should have minimum 60 percent marks in aggregate class 10th and 12th along with Mathematics as one of the subject in 12th Class. They should have B.Tech/ B.E. in any branch of engineering with at least 65 percent marks. Candidates who qualified in CAT 2010, JMET 2011 or GMAT 2010 will be admitted on the basis of group discussion and personal interview.

4. Ph.D.: Specialisations in Petroleum / Chemical/ Mechanical Engineering / Geology and Geophysics / Management Sciences. Detailed notification for Ph.D. admissions will be issued in July 2011.

SNUSAT 2011-Shiv Nadar University B.Tech Admissions
