The Hindu – Hitachi Scholarships for Engineering Candidates 2013

The Hindu and Japan based Hitachi company are jointly offering Scholarships for technical training in Japan. Selected candidates will be trained in Hitachi Company in Japan for six months commencing from July 2013. Scholarship duration is six months. Number of scholarships are three.

Qualifications: BE / B.Sc Engineering with at least one year experience. Candidates with experience in IT Solutions and Services, Systems Engineering, Thermal Power, Power Generation, Rail Systems, Transportation Control etc will be preferred.

Application Procedure: Forms are available with The Hindu offices in all the states and union territories.

Ramalingaswami Re-entry Fellowship Scheme 2012

Applications are inviting from eligible candidates for the Ramalingaswami Re-entry Fellowship to work in overseas research institutions. Fellowships are offered by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. Fellowships are offered in the discipline of biotechnology (Agriculture, Bio – Engineering, Bioinformatics, Energy, Health Sciences, Environment).

Eligibility : Applicant must have Ph.D. / M.D. / M. Tech / M.VSc. or equivalent with minimum 3 years of post – doctoral research experience in overseas research laboratories. Applicants age should be below 55 years. Duration of fellowship is 5 years.
