All the candidates admitted into M.Tech. and Ph.D. courses are eligible to get financial assistance from Rs.7500 to Rs. 25000 per month. This is a fixed amount for PG an Ph.D. courses. Candidates admitted in B.Tech (ICT) with AIEEE rank below 5000 will get scholarship equivalent to full tuition fees. Candidates admitted in other courses will also get various scholarships based on merit and also under merit-cum-means schemes.

Application procedure and important dates: Interested candidates can apply online or offline. But the institute encourage the candidates to apply online through official website of DA-IICT www.daiict.ac.in. Offline application forms are available at selected branches of Axis Bank in all major cities and towns across the country. Application fee is Rs. 1000 can be paid in the form of cash at Axis Bank. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Thiruvananthapuram (IISER-TVM) issued notification for admission to Ph.D. Program in various advanced disciplines at the Schools of Biology, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences for the year 2011-12. The program will commence from August 2011. IISER is one of the premier research institute in the country for basic and applied sciences. Following are the details of eligibility and application procedure:

Eligibility: Applicants should have Masters degree in Biological/ Chemical/ Physical/ Mathematical/ Allied Medical Sciences. Candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Medicine also eligible . Aplicants with 60 percent marks will be prefered. Candidates must have qualified in CSIR- UGC- JRF/ DBT- JRF/ GATE/ ICMR JRF as on 1st August 2011. Those interested in pursuing Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolution are exempted from the above national level tests.

Selection will be based on the performance in written aptitude test and interview. Short listed candidates only will be called for written test.
