National Law University-Delhi PG Diploma Admissions 2011-12

The National Law University (NLU), Delhi is inviting applications from eligible candidates for PG Diploma Programmes for the academic session 2011-12. NLU is a premier Law University in the country established in 2008 by and Act. Selection of the candidates will be based on the written examination. The programmes are designed for working professionals and other candidates. Classes will be conducted on Saturday and Sunday. Following are details of the programs such as eligibility, fee and application procedure:

1) P. G. Diploma in Judging and Court Management (P.G.D.J.C.M): This is a one year Post-Graduate Diploma offered by NLU, Delhi. The course will be conducted as Weekend programme. Eligibility: Should have Graduation in Law with minimum 50 percent marks. Age should be below 30 years as on 1st September, 2011. Number of seats are 50 (Fifty). Application fee: Rs.1000/- for General Category and Rs.500 for SC/ST Candidates. Fee should be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of Registrar, National Law University, Delhi and payable at Delhi. Tuition fee Rs.15000/- for General Category and Rs.10,000/- for SC/ST candidates. 2) P. G. Diploma in Urban Environmental Management (P.G.D.U.E.M): Duration is one year. The course is jointly offered by NLU, Delhi and Centre for Environmental Law, WWF – India through distance and online mode. Eligibility is Graduation in any stream of study. NLU Delhi-AILET 2011 for 5 Year B.A.LL.B. Admissions

National Law University (NLU), New Delhi is offering 5 Years Integrated B.A LLB (Honors) Programme. NLU is one of the best Law Universities in the country and the programmes are highly qualitative and industry oriented. The University is inviting applications for BA LLB for the academic year 2011-2012. The course will commence from from August, 2011. Admission will be based on All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) to be conducted by NLU at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Patna centers on May 1st, 2011. Following are details of eligibility and application procedure:

Eligibility: Applicants should have passed in Senior Secondary School Examination / Intermediate/ 10+2 with at least 50 percent marks. Those appearing for the final year exams in March OR April, 2011 can also apply. Age must be below 21 years as on 1st July, 2011. Relaxations applicable for SC/ST candidates.

Total Seats in the programme are 80 (eighty). Out of these 70 seats will be filled on merit basis through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and other seats are reserved for NRIs to be admitted directly provided they meet admission requirements described on the website. The NLU offers liberal financial assistance through various scholarships for the needy and deserving students.

Pattern of the AILET: AILET 2011 consist of 150 multiple choice questions for 150 marks. Duration of the exam is 90 minutes. Questions will be asked from English, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude, Reasoning and Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability). AILET previous/ old question papers are available with NLU office, Delhi. You can obtain them by sending a DD of Rs. 550 in favour of ‘Registrar, National Law University, Delhi’ payable at Delhi.
