AIIMS-PG and Post Doctoral Admissions January 2012 Session

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has announced admission notification 2011 for the following programmes to be commenced from January 2012. Selection of the candidates for Post Graduate programmes will be based on written examination to be conducted at Delhi only. Candidates should also qualify in departmental clinical/practical/lab based assessment. Following are details of programmes and application procedure:

1) Post Graduation courses: MD/ MS/ M.Ch (6 years) / MDS/ MHA
2) Post Doctoral Courses: DM/ M.Ch and PhD

Eligibility and Selection Process: Candidates must possess a degree in MD / MS or DNB from a University recognized by the MCI in the respective disciplines. Course specific specialisations are available on the AIIMS website at http://www.aiimsexams.org/PG_Prospectus-_JANUARY_2012_DRAFT-II.pdf .

Interested candidates can apply / register online and get acknowledgement card. Candidates can also download Admit Card from AIIMS website www.aiims.ac.in and www.aiims.edu as well as www.aiimsexams.org after 28th October 2011.

Important dates:

1) Entrance examination for MD / MS / M.Ch / MDS: 13th November 2011 (Exam Centres-Delhi, Chennai, Guwahati, Kolkata and Mumbai)
2) Entrance examination for DM / M.Ch / MHA: 12th December 2011 (Centre- Delhi only)
3) Entrance examination for Ph.D: 22nd January 2012 (Centre-Delhi only)

Urdu Academy Delhi Certificate Course in Urdu Admissions 2011-12

Urdu Academy, Delhi – a Government of Delhi institute is inviting applications for admission into One Year Certificate Course in Urdu Language. The Course is offered free of cost. The classes will be held four days in a week at the following locations in Delhi. These are Nizarnuddin, Yarnuna Vihar, West Patel Nagar, B-Block, Janakpuri, Laxrni Nagar, Swastha Vihar (Opp. Coffee Home and Preet Vihar) and Kashmere Gate (C.P.O.Building). Following are details of eligibility and application procedure:

Eligibility: Applicants should have studied Senior Secondary Education or Intermediate without Urdu Subject. They should not have learnt Urdu language at any stage of their education. The One year certificate course is recognised by Delhi University.

Application Procedure: Interested candidates can obtain application forms from the office of Urdu Academy, New Delhi on any working day during the office hours from 13th July 2011. You can submit the filled in application form on the same day. You need to bring one passport size photograph and a copy of the certificate of educational qualification (Intermediate or w\equivalent). Urdu Academy is established to promote and develop Urdu Language and Literature in the NCR of Delhi. The Academy organizes Seminars, Mushaira, Cultural programmes on various occasions in order to encourage the use of language. It also offer financial assistance to Urdu writers to publish their works. As part of educational and training programmes, Urdu Academy provides prizes to Urdu students and also supplies books to Urdu medium schools and libraries. The Academy is functioning under the aegis of Department of Art, Culture and Language, Govt. of Delhi.
