Sri Ramachandra University MD and MS Admissions 2013-14

Sri Ramachandra University (SRU), Porur, Chennai is offering Post Graduation Degree in MD / MS courses for the year 2013. Duration of course is three years. The selection will be made through written test to be held on 20th January, 2013 at Porur, Chennai. The application fee is Rs. 500. It should be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of Sri Ramachandra University, Porur, Chennai.

1. Post Graduation Degree (Clinical courses) :
MD : Pediatrics, Anesthesiology, Radio-Diagnosis, General Medicine, Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy, Psychiatry, TB and Pulmonary Medicine, Sports Medicine.

MS : General Surgery, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Otorhinolaryngology and Ophthalmology.

MD (Non – Clinical) : Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Community Medicine, Immuno Haematology & Blood Transfusion Medicine and Forensic Medicine.

Qualification : MBBS Degree.

2. PG Dental courses :
MDS : Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, Periodontology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine and Radiology, Oral Pathology and Microbiology.
Qualification : BDS Degree.

Application procedure: Eligible candidates should send their completed application fomr in the prescribed format is available on website : www.sriramachandra.edu.in along with attested copies of all relevant supporting documents to The Registrar, Sri Ramachandra University, Porur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu – 600 116. Opening and closing date for the submission of completed application form is 3rd December 2012 and 7th January 2013.

PGIMER New Entrance Test for MD and MS Courses 2012-13

The PGIMER Director has informed that the MD / MS Entrance Examination has been cancelled after the unearth of cheating racket. The CBI is investigating the case. The PGIMER (Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research) has held the MD / MS entrance examination last week.

The PGIMER will announce the new examination schedule very soon. The entrance is aimed at conducting admission for MD (Doctor of Medicine) and MS (Master of Surgery) courses.

The decision to cancel the entrance exam will affect 7300 candidates, who appeared for the test. About 78 post graduation seats in various departments of PGIMER will be filled through this exam.

The new PGIMER entrance exam for MD / MS courses is likely to be held in December this year. Earlier to this, the institute had withheld the result of the exam and decided to cancel the exam in the interest of large number of the candidates.
