Punjab Medical Entrance Test- 2011 (PMET) will be conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot on 8th June 2011 for admission to MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2011-12 in various Governemnt and Private Medical and Dental Colleges affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) in Punjab. Interested candidates can obtain OMR Application forms and information booklets from the counter in office of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences. Filled in forms have to be submitted on or before 24th May 2011 along with all required documentation.

Punjab Medical Entrance Test (PMET) is intended to admission into Bachelor Medical Courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BHMS in all types of medical colleges in Punjab. The entrance is being conducted by BFUHS on behalf of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar. Admission to about 20 medical / dental colleges in Punjab will be done through rankings in PMET 2011 only. PMET is one of the toughest exams in Punjab for which competition will be high as number of seats are less.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50 percent marks. Those appearing for their Class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply for PMET 2011. Age must be below 17 years as on 31st December, 2011. First year candidates of Graduation also can apply if they are under this age limits. Application forms for PMET 2011: The OMR forms for PMET 2011 are available in selected Oriental Bank of Commerce Branches along with office of BFUHS.

Pattern of PMET 2011 Examination: The question paper will consist of 200 multiple choice questions with a time duration of 150 minutes. The questions will be from the following subjects:.

1. Physics- 50 questions
2. Chemistry- 50 questions
3. Biology-100 questions

ComedK UGET 2011 for MBBS, BDS, Engineering Admissions in Karnataka

Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (ComedK) has announced Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET 2011) Notification for admission to Engineering, Medical and Dental courses (MBBS, BDS, BE/ B.Tech.) in Government and Private colleges in the state of karnataka for the academic year 2011-12. Candidates can apply online through www.comedk.org in the prescribed dates. ComedK advises candidates to check with the respective colleges for the number of seats, branches / subjects offered, selection criteria and cutoff marks for the pasr year. ComedK UGET 2011 will be conducted on 8th May, 2011 across Karnataka. ComedK UGET 2011 is a Common Entrance Test for admission to Under Graduate Professional courses in Karnataka. There will be no entrance test for admission to Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) Courses in Karnataka. Following are other details of UGET 2011:

Eligibility: Applicantsshould have passed in 2nd PUC Standard / +2 / Intermediate with PCM / PCB subjects. Those appearing for the second year exams also can apply. Interested candidates can apply online through www.comedk.org after paying the fee of Rs. 800 for 3 subjects and Rs. 1000 for 4 subjects (PCMB) in favour of ‘COMEDK’ payable at Bangalore.

ComedK UGET 2011 Results and Rank Lists will be announced in June 2011. Centralised Counseling for ComedK UGET 2011 will be announced at the time of announcement of UGET 2011 Results. Admission to B.Arch. for the year 2011-12 will be through centralised counseling only.
