JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research) – Puducherry / Karaikal is one of the premier medical education and research institutions in India. The JIPMER has 200 MBBS seats in total. JIPMER Puducherry has 150 seats and JIPMER Karaikal has 50 MBBS seats. It conducts own entrance test for admissions into MBBS course. Total Seats: 200 (General – 65, OBC – 38, SC – 22, ST – 15, P-UR – 30, P – OBC – 16, P-SC – 8, NRI / OCI – 6.)
JIPMER conducts separate entrance examination as it is an autonomous institutions as like AIIMS. The JIPMER entrance test will have following sections for 200 marks.
Physics: 60 questions
Chemistry: 60 questions
Biology: 60 questions
English Language and Comprehension: 10 marks
Logical and Quantitative Reasoning: 10 marks
