Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi is inviting applications for admission into M.Ed. (Master of Education) for the January 2012 cycle. The programme is developed by DEC, IGNOU and NCTE for the professional development of graduate and post graduate in-service teachers with B.Ed. degree. The programme is offered in Distance mode and targeted at working teachers of primary, secondary or senior secondary schools /colleges /equivalent academic positions in DIETs, SCERTs, and other similar educational institutions. Eligibility requirements: Applicants should have B.Ed. with minimum 55 percent marks. Candidates should have at least two years of teaching / professional experience after completion of B.Ed programme. Reservations apply as per rules. The medium of instruction of the program is English. IGNOU is also making efforts to deliver the program in Hindi also. Minimum period of the program is 2 years and maximum period is 4 years. The Programme fee is Rs.36,000/- . This is for the entire programme of two years.
