KSWU Bijapur Results 2012 of BA, B.Com, BSW Exams

Karnataka State Women University, Bijapur, Karnataka has announced results of BA – V Semester and BCOM – III Semester Results for which examinations were conducted in 2011. Karnataka State Women’s University was established in 2003 in the city of Bijapur. This is the only Women’s University in Karnataka. The University offer Under Graduate Programmes leading to Business Administration, Computer Applications, Arts, Education, Fashion Technology, Commerce, Physical Education, Science, Home Science and Social Work. There are about 70 women’s college in twelve districts of North karnataka which are affiliated to Karnataka State Women University. Following are details of courses offered by various departments of KSWU, Bijapur.

1) Humanities: Kannada, English, Hindi and Urdu
2) Social Sciences: Economics, Journalism and Mass Communication, Library and Information Sciences, Social Work, Sociology and Women Studies.
3) Science and Technology: Bio – Informatics, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Electronics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Food Processing and Nutrition.
4) School of Education: M.Ed, M.P.Ed, B.Ed and B.P.Ed.
5) Commerce and Management Studies: Master of Business Administration, Faculty of Commerce and Management.

KSWU will released admission notification for all these courses. Admission will be through an entrance examination conducted separately for each programme. IISc Bangalore B.S Admissions 2012-16 Batch

India’s top scientific research organization, Indian Institute of Science has announced admission notification for its prestigious programme B.S. (Bachelor of Science). The programme was started last year and this is the second batch. The IISc has announced that 84 students were joined in the first batch of BS Course. The class work for the 2nd batch will commence from 1st August 2012. The online application process for batch 2012-16 will commence from 1st February 2012 and will closed on 30th April 2012. This is an excellent opportunity for the students to get a bachelors degree in science from a world class institute. Following are details of eligibility, selection, seats and application procedure:

Eligibility Requirements: Total number of seats in the programme are 110 – 120. Applicants should have completed their II PUC / 12th Standard / Intermediate or its equivalent in 2011. Those going to complete their course in 2012 are also eligible to apply. Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects in the PUC / 12th Standard or Intermediate. Candidates who have studied subjects such as Biology, Electronics, Computer Science, Statistics, etc., should also have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. All the applicants must have a first class or 60 percent marks or an equivalent grade. SC and ST candidates need pass class.

Selection and application procedure: The selection for BS programme will be based on the merit lists of the following national examinations: KVPY-SA-2010 (those selected as fellows), KVPY-SB (those appeared in 2011), KVPY-SX (appeared in 2011), IIT-JEE 2012 and AIEEE 2012). Reservations are applicable as per the rules. Interested candidates can apply online or also in offline methods. Application fee is Rs. 400. Fee is Rs. 200 for SC/ ST and PH candidates. Print versions of online applications should be sent along with required documents to Deputy Registrar (Academic), Admissions Unit, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore – 560012. The fee DD has to be drawn in favour of ‘The Registrar, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Last date for the receipt online application is 30th April 2012.
