JNCASR Bangalore Summer Research Fellowship 2013

Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore is inviting applications for Summer Research Fellowships 2013 for the Intermediate, Degree, Post Graduate and Integrated M.Sc candidates.

The Summer Research Fellowships are offered in the disciplines of Life Sciences, Materials Sciences, Physical Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Atmospheric Sciences and Mathematics.

Duration of the fellowship is two months. Number of fellowships are 80. Selected candidates will get Rs.6000 per month as stipend. Applicants should be in the First / second year of B.Sc OR Second / third / fourth year of BE / B.Tech OR M.Sc. (First year). They should have secured 60 percent marks in Degree / PG and 80 percent marks in 10th Class / Intermediate with Mathematics and Sciences.

JNCASR Best Science Teacher Awards 2012

Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) Bangalore in association with CNR Rao Education Foundation has announced notification for Best Science Teacher Awards 2011-2012. The awards are instituted by CNR Rao Education foundation, Bangalore for the Pre University and High School Science Teachers. The award carries a citation along with an honorarium. Following are details of eligibility, nomination procedure and applications:

Interested Science Teachers can download application / nomination forms from JNCASR website http://jncasr.ac.in/annview.php?id=349 . The completed nominations should be sent to the Sr. Administrative Officer, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Jakkur, Bangalore 560 064. Last date for the receipt of nominations is 15th March 2012. For students, JNCASR offer Summer Research Fellowships. The latest notification for these fellowships has been announced.

The application forms should include details such as Name (in block letters), Age and Date of Birth, Qualification, Name of the School, Designation, Core Subjects handled in the school, number of years of Experience, Awards, Distinctions, Recognitions at State, National and International levels and contribution made towards popularization of Science. The nominations should be forwarded through Head of the Institution.
