RGUKT Admissions 2011-12 Results, Merit List, Counseling, Selection List

Update on 10th August 2011: RGUKT IIIT 2011 Results / Merit List of candidates has been announced. RGUKT Counseling for merit list candidates will be conducted on 23rd, 24th , 25th of August 2011. Candidates have to attend the Counseling with all the relevant certificates. There are 3000 seats in RGUKT – IIITs with 1000 seats per each institute. About 2807 seats are available in the categories such as OC, BC, SC and ST. Remaining 193 seats will be reserved for Physically Handicapped, NCC, Sports and CAP categories. About 19000 candidates were applied for the RGUKT admissions this year.

Admission Notification 2011-2012: Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Gachibowli, Hyderabad is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission into the first year course of its 6 year integrated programme 2011-12. The program will lead to B.Tech. degree. The RGUKT – IIITs are located at Basar, Nuzvid and RK Valley (Idupulapaya, Kadapa). Total number of seats available in all RGUKTs is 3000. The annual fee for the each of the first two years for students of Andhra Pradesh is Rs.36,000/-. Following are details of eligibility, selection process and application procedure:

Eligibility Requirements: Regular students who have passed SSC / 10th class or its equivalent examination conducted in 2011 are eligible to apply. Applicants age should be below 18 years as on 31st December 2011. Upper age limit is 21 years for SC and ST candidates. This year onwards, students will get a deprivation score, weightage of 4 percent in terms of percentage of marks. These marks will be added to the 10th class marks of an applicant from Government Schools including ZP and Municipal Schools.

Application Procedure: Interested candidates can apply online only through admissions2011.rgukt.in or through AP Online centers only. Candidates can obtain hard copy of the Information Brochure from AP Online centers. Print out of Admission Brochure can also be taken from AP Online center on payment of prescribed fee. More details of online application procedure can be obtained from www.rgukt.in or you can call at the Helpline No.1100 (BSNL).

Application fee is Rs. 100. This should be paid as DD drawn in favour of ‘The Registrar, RGUKT, and payable at Hyderabad. Candidates applying through AP ONline centers have to pay Rs. 100 as registration fee and Rs. 15 for service charges. Printed copy of the online application form should be sent along with fee receipt / DD to ‘The Registrar, RGUKT by registered post.

BIT Mesra Integrated M.Sc. Admissions 2011-12

Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra is inviting applications for admission into Integrated M.Sc in the disciplines of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics and Computing. These courses are intended for students who passed Intermediate / 12th Class in a recognised school / college. BIT, Mesra is a deemed university accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) an also National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Following are details of Integrated Post Graduate Programs offered by BIT Mesra, Ranchi (Bihar):

1. Integrated M.Sc. in Chemistry; Eligibility: Applicants age must be below 21 years as on 1st October 2011. Candidates should have passed in Class 12 or its equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology subjects. They should have secured at least 60 percent marks.

2. Integrated M.Sc. in Physics: Applicants should have pass in Class 12 / +2 / Intermediate with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics with at least 60 percent marks in average of 4 subjects. Age should be below 21 years as on 1st October 2011.

3. Integrated M.Sc. in Mathematics and Computing: The maximum age limit is 21 years as on 1st October 2011. Candidates should have passed in 10+2 / Intermediate/ Class 12 with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics subjects securing minimum 60 percent marks in average.

There are 20 seats in each course. Selection of the candidates will be based on the performance in qualifying examinations. Age relaxations apply for reserved candidates. Application fee is Rs. 1500 which has to be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour ‘Birla Institute of Technology, payable at Ranchi.
