Following are details of IIT JEE 2011 Counseling Schedule and Seat Allottment Schedule. IITs conduct integrated counseling for all the 15 IITs spread across the country. Candidates have to fill their web choices in the prescribed manner as per the schedule given below. There will be separate counseling for Preparatory Course candidates.

There are more than 9000 seats available in all IITs in different disciplines. Branch wise number of seats in various IITs are also available on this blog. Candidates can assess their chances of getting a seat in IIT based on merit list cut offs of IIT JEE 2011.

IIT JEE 2011 Seat Allotment Schedule:

Following table will provide you the number of seats in IITs for various Branches / Subjects. This data is based on the seats filled in IIT JEE 2010. There may be increase in number of seats in some IITs. There were 9509 seats in all IITs during IIT JEE 2010 admission. This year for IIT JEE 2011 candidates, the total number of seats has increased to 9618. Candidates can estimate their chances of grabbing a seat in IIT of their choice based on the 2011 Merit List Cut Off for various categories of candidates.

IITs offer more than 80 branches in B.Tech. and Dual Degree Programs. Most of the students opt for main stream branches such as Electronics and Communications, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Biotech, Aerospace, Mechanical, Mining, Computers, Mettalurgy etc. Following table will give you number of seats in these branches in IITs at Madras, Bombay, Delhi, Gauhati, Kharagpur, Kanpur, Roorkee, IT – BHU and ISM Dhanbad.
